Tasmanian Textile Arts is the love-child of Lisa McAndrew. who is passionate about all things textiles. She lives on Good Heart Farm in the North West of Tasmania where her and her husband practice and teach self sufficiency. Prior to moving to Tasmania she had spent over 20 years working in the community arts and community development sector. She is proud to be part of establishing a new industry for hand made textiles in Tasmania.
Aim: Building a community of textile artists of all ages across Tasmania
- Promoting Textile Arts, artists, events and training
- Teaching Textile arts to a new generation of artists.
- Creating a new Textile Arts industry in Tasmania
- Working with existing Textile Art organisations to promote their activities,and engage young people in textiles.
